Leveling a floor with cement?
Ok I have a old shed and I was turned it into a generator room for my generators but the concrete floor is slopped and dipes in the middle and when it rains because of the slope the water runs into the shed and will damage my generators so I have come up with a plan.I am going to build a 1foot High cement floor so that the water would not be able to reach the generators and it will be a flat surface for the generators but how would I make this new floor Straight and not sloping because I was going to build a wood frame were I want the new floor but because the floor dips when I pure the cement into the frame it will run under the frame because the existing floor dipps in the middle

We turned a milking parlour into a 33 foot kitchen in our barn. It had a concrete floor with dips so that the cows pee coud run down. Unfortunately we had to hire a jack hammer and dig up all of the concrete and then lay down new concrete.
No way round it.

My daughter rents a similar house in NC and pays $1000 a month. Charge the same for security and if your going to allow pets charge a pet deposit as well. If you have carpeting make the pet deposit large enough that when they leave you can have carpet cleaned.

How to stop carpet tile edges/ corners curling?
Hi
I have carpet tiles in the brick-built, air conditioned/ heated ‘shed‘ at the bottom of my garden. Been fine for 6 months, but only today I noticed every edge facing the door is lifting slightly, making the floor look like a choppy sea!
Anyone know if the room needs to be hotter/ colder/ less humid etc?
Thanks

admin answers:
Hello MD – sorry to hear about your tiles coming up. Your shed sounds fabulous!
Since it has been 6 months, something has changed since the front tiles are lifting. Did they get wet or were they exposed to sudden shifts, twists, or turns (like rolling in a lawn mower using ramps)? Did the subfloor get wet – changing its shape and then lifting the tiles to create the choppy sea syndrome?
Check the subfloor first and repair as necessary. If you used the peel and stick tiles, you could use an adhesive to put them down in place again. If your tile installation required double sided tape to hold down the edges, then prepare the floor again and retape the tiles in place. If your tile was designated for commercial installations that require an initial coat of mastic on the floor, you may want to remove the tile(s), trowel adhesive onto the floor and let dry as recommended by the manufacturer. Tiles set in the adhesive too soon may be difficult to remove if you ever decide to redo the floor.
As the weather changes and winter sets in, keep the front area of your shed dry to avoid further issues.
Best wishes on your project.

Need suggestions for moving shed.?
I want to move a 10′ x 12′ x 10′ shed. It is already built and is more like a little room made from 2 x 4′s and plywood the inside also has drywall and linoleum and has connections for electricity. It was used as a shipping office in a warehouse. I want to move it without taking it apart. A shed company charges me $300. I am looking for the cheapest method possible obviously.
If I were to get it on a trailer what would be the best way to get it off. Keep in mind it will be about 3 feet off the floor and it weighs about 1100 lbs. The biggest problem is getting it off the trailer as it will be loaded on by forklift at my job. Once at my house I have no idea how I am going to get it off the trailer.
Any suggestions?

admin answers:
I would use a tilt bed trailer if possible, back it to the spot that you want to put the shed. Put a couple of heavy stakes in the ground behind the spot and tie the shed off to it by using a heavy webbed tow strap, then slowly pull your vehicle forward.
If you only have a fixed bed trailer, then you can pull to near the spot that you want it then use some slide boards (2×12′s) set over some concrete blocks as a ramp and push or pull the shed off. It will be a lot easier if you have a come a long or winch to pull it off.

Want to make a shed for gym but HOW?
I want to make a shed (8×8 sized room) in our back garden so I can have it like a small gym.
I want to build that myself. Argos sells ready made sheds so I’m going to buy one of those.
But how do I get the pavement done?
I have NO DIY Skills but think I can manage paving the blocks for floor.
Could I just put the shed from Argos directly on top of the pavement base that I created or does the pavement need plastering??
Any serious personal guidance without any advert links would be great. thanks.

ARGOS has shed bases available.A few hand tools, follow directions, you can do it.
